Neon1x Splatters TKE-A-PALOZZA 2014 To Benefit St.Judes Children's Research Hospital

Houston TX and TKE paint party was a huge success.  On April 24th 2014, Neon1x made it's debut in Houston,TX by bringing its new Neon Paint Party to Club Pure in downtown Houston.  This years 2014 TKE-A-PALOOZA, which is held each year to benefit the St.Jude's Children's Research Hospital was a huge success.  What a turnout it was!  Lines formed all the way down main street with over 1000 kids all wearing white. Just hoping they could get in and get blasted by UV neon paint. We have never had the challenge of blasting paint in a room this small, but that didn't stop Neon1x from bringing their newly automatic refillable paint cannons, straight from the Atlanta Special FX's assembly line. Neon1x blasted over 650 people in the bar with paint for 5 hours straight. The bar was at max capacity they had to turn people away from the door. Even as buses arrived to take people back to the campus the students of  Houston University refused to leave and kept going until 2 am.

While most people were out drinking shamrock shakes or green beer down highway 75 just north of Dallas.  In Richardson Texas the students at The University Of Texas were getting splattered by Neon1x and Dallas Special FX's Paint Cannons. This was the first of many UTD Splatterdance Paint Party. 

Kicking off UTD's week long Springapalooza events Neon1x and thier parent company Dallas Special FX teamed up and sprayed paint out of their high powered paint cannons onto a field of jumping and dancing students for over 2 hours. 

The students were ready as soon as the first note was played. They rushed up to the barricades waiting in anticipation for what was about to come. DJ Kurve spun the nights tune and never missed a beat. That is if you don't count the electrical breaker that blew due to the stage shaking so hard from UT students jumping and dancing....and yes we had a male twerker.

The combined crew of Dallas special Fx and Neon1x couldn't fill the paint cannons fast enough. "We were firing paint almost every 5-10 min straight." Said the owner.  The crowd just kept wanting more and more. Thanks to Josh Neuberger and Alex Ammons, we were running to all four cannons as soon as a blast would go off. Temperatures may be below freezing in St.Cloud,MN. But this past weekend Neon1x rolled into town and melted the snow with their UV Neon Paint Party. For three solid hours SCSU students were treated to the visual spectacle that has become a main staple of Neon1x's shows. 3D Lasers, 3D Mapping, Co2 Jets,Confetti Cannons and top that off with blasting the students with UV Neon Paint. When Fast N Loud the popular car show on The Discovery show needed a confetti blasts for the Bandit car giveaway who did they call? Yep you got it Neon1x and Dallas Special FX. This past month Michael Willett and the crew from Neon1x got the chance to show Dallas,Texas what they could do. The call came in from the producer's of the T.V show Fast N Loud and they said they were looking for a confetti blasts for the Bandit car giveaway. Of course Neon1x knew that a simple confetti blasts for live T.V had to have a just that little extra something. So what did they do? Paint Party or Nightclub? Its A No Brainer

Where To Go May 10th 2013? Although the first ever paint party in St Cloud is over a month away, it is never to early to make your mind up on where to be May 10th.  Most of you have at least heard about a paint party, but some have not, and are wondering if this would be more fun than going to the local club scene for a night.  The answer to that question if simple.  You can go to the local club on any given night and party with at most 350 people if the club is slamming, but paint parties attract upwards of 1000-2000 people and is a full production with interactive stage performers, alien like stilt walkers with laser fog cannons, techno sparkles, confetti blasters, aerial visual effects like custom shaped foam clouds. What Do People Wear To A Paint Party?

What to wear to a neon paint party? This is a highly debated question among old and young. Some would say to wear your swim trunks or bathing suit, and others will tell you to wear all white tshirt and pants. Now as you well know both are ideal and I guess it boils down to what kind of memory you want to take from the paint party, or how good you want your pictures to look for Facebook. Haha. Personally I think all white gear is best suited for creating your custom paint canvas. White tshirts can often be purchased at the venue or just go to Wal Mart and purchase 3 pack of tanks. If you go with the all white set up, more than likely you will just remove and throw away after the show. However we do have some hard core ragers that continue to create a moving work of art by wearing the same clothes to every show. Amazing. If you choose to go with the bathing suit or swim trunk choice please remember some paint does stain and you run the risk of ruining your outfit. Plus be sure to wear flip flops, or some throwback kicks that you don't mind getting painted up. Hope these tips have been useful and please let us know what other questions you may have.
